Our Story
Valley Fragrances didn't start as a website. It started in a back room in Kashmir, with a few bottles, a notebook, and a fascination with how fragrance carries memory.
The first six years
Long before this storefront existed, we were already in the perfume business. Buying, selling, learning the brands, learning the houses, learning which distributor would stand behind their stock and which would not. Six years of unboxing, six years of comparing batch codes, six years of customers asking the same question: "How do I know it's real?"
We learned the answer the hard way: by working only with distributors who held direct relationships with the brands, and who refused to deal with anyone who'd compromise on authenticity. That meant security deposits, paperwork, and patience. But it meant the product was always real.
Why we built this site
We watched online perfume shopping in India turn into a minefield. Counterfeits everywhere. Refilled bottles. Marketplaces where the same SKU is sold by twelve different "sellers" with twelve different price tags and twelve different qualities. The brands we cared about were getting laundered through grey markets and sold as new.
We had access to the real supply chain. We knew the distributors. We knew the brands. The only thing missing was a place where we could put it all together: pricing it honestly, packaging it carefully, and standing behind every bottle ourselves.
That place became Valley Fragrances.
How we operate today
We work with India's top perfume distributors, the same ones supplying the most well-known fragrance websites in the country. To get access to their stock, we hold substantial security deposits with them. That deposit isn't a marketing line; it's the structural reason we sell only genuine product. If we ever shipped a fake, we'd lose the deposit, lose the supply, and end the business. The math doesn't allow it.
When you place an order, we coordinate with the right distributor partner, the bottle is pulled from sealed stock, verified, packed, and shipped to your address. The whole flow takes up to 14 business days. It's slower than dropshipping. It's also the reason what arrives at your door is real.

Built in Kashmir, for all of India
The valley has been a crossroads of fragrance traditions for centuries, from the Mughal gardens to the saffron fields. Roses, oudh, musk, and saffron have moved through this region for so long that the appreciation for scent feels native here.
