Every bottle. Sealed, sourced, certified.
Valley Fragrances guarantees that every perfume we sell is 100% genuine, factory-sealed, and sourced direct from authorized brand distributors in India. Each order ships with a unique Authenticity Certificate listing the brand, product, SKU, and a Certificate ID — verifiable against our records and downloadable from the product page.

What "authentic" means at Valley Fragrances
- Sourced direct from authorized distributors. We hold direct relationships and security deposits with the same distributors that supply India's largest fragrance retailers. We do not buy from third-party marketplace sellers, grey-market importers, or unauthorized resellers.
- Factory-sealed at shipment. Every bottle leaves our hands in its original brand cellophane. If a shipment arrives with broken or tampered packaging, you have a 7-day return window — no questions, full refund.
- Per-product certificate. Every order includes a Valley Fragrances Authenticity Certificate naming the brand, the product, the SKU, the size, and a deterministic Certificate ID generated from those fields. The same certificate is published online at the product URL.
- Batch codes that match. The batch code on your bottle will match the one on your box. Both are decodable using public batch-code lookup tools to confirm a recent manufacture date.
- No grey-market, no testers, no decant-as-original. Decants are explicitly labeled as such (5 ml / 10 ml). We do not sell tester units or "open box" returns.
How to verify any perfume yourself, in 5 minutes
These are the same checks Valley Fragrances runs before any product enters our catalog. You can run them on any perfume — including ours — to confirm authenticity independently.
- Step 1
Inspect the outer packaging
Authentic perfume boxes are clean-printed, color-accurate, and tightly sealed in cellophane with neatly machine-folded edges. Misaligned text, off-color logos, fuzzy printing, or loose/sticky cellophane wrap are warning signs.
- Step 2
Verify the bottle and atomizer
The glass should be heavy and clear, with no air bubbles inside the wall. The atomizer (sprayer) must be flush with the bottle neck — not crooked, not loose. The cap should snap on cleanly with a satisfying click. Spray pattern should be a fine even mist, not a coarse spurt.
- Step 3
Read the batch code on the bottle and box
Every authentic perfume has a matching batch code printed on both the box and the bottle (usually 5–8 alphanumeric characters). The codes must match exactly. You can decode the manufacture date for most brands using free batch-code lookup sites — it should fall within the last 3 years.
- Step 4
Smell-test the dry-down, not the first spray
Counterfeits often nail the opening (top notes are easy to copy with cheap citrus and aldehydes) but collapse within 30 minutes. Authentic perfume has a layered evolution — top → heart → base — that lasts hours. A scent that flattens to plain alcohol after 30 minutes is suspect.
- Step 5
Match the price against the brand's genuine MRP
A 100ml designer EDP that retails for ₹8,000–₹12,000 in genuine channels but is being offered at ₹1,500 is almost certainly counterfeit. Heavily discounted pricing on tier-1 brands is the single most reliable signal of fake stock.
- Step 6
Buy from an authorized retailer with verifiable sourcing
The most reliable safeguard is the supply chain itself. Valley Fragrances sources every bottle direct from authorized brand distributors, and ships each order with a per-product Authenticity Certificate detailing brand, SKU, and certificate ID — verifiable against our records.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know my perfume from Valley Fragrances is 100% authentic?
Every bottle ships factory-sealed in its original brand cellophane and includes a Valley Fragrances Authenticity Certificate listing the brand, product, SKU, and a unique Certificate ID. We source exclusively from authorized brand distributors in India — never from grey-market or marketplace third-party resellers — and we publish per-product authenticity certificates at /products/{handle}/certificate.svg for permanent reference.
What is a Valley Fragrances Authenticity Certificate?
A document of provenance issued for every product we sell. It states the brand, product name, size, SKU, the date of issue, and a deterministic Certificate ID. The certificate confirms that the bottle was sourced from an authorized distributor and shipped sealed at the manufacturer. The same certificate is downloadable from the product page and embedded in each shipment.
Where do you source your perfumes?
Valley Fragrances works with India's largest authorized fragrance distributors — the same distributors who supply the most well-known perfume retailers in the country. Our access requires substantial security deposits and direct relationships with the distributors' parent brands, which is what allows us to guarantee that every bottle we ship is genuine and sealed.
Can I verify the batch code of my Valley Fragrances purchase?
Yes. Every bottle has a batch code printed on both the bottle and the outer box (these must match). You can independently decode the manufacture date through any public batch-code decoder; for designer and Arabian brands the code typically reveals a manufacture date within the last 24 months. If you ever find a mismatch, contact us at hello@valleyfragrances.com with your order number and we will investigate immediately.
What happens if I receive a product that I suspect is not genuine?
Email hello@valleyfragrances.com with your order number, photos of the bottle and box (showing the batch code), and a description of your concern. We accept returns within 7 days of delivery and will issue a full refund or replacement. To date, every authenticity dispute we have investigated has been resolved by simply walking the customer through the legitimate batch code — but our return window protects you regardless.
Do you sell tester perfumes or "open box" units?
No. Valley Fragrances only sells brand-new, factory-sealed bottles in original retail packaging. The only exception is our explicitly-marked Decant program (5 ml and 10 ml refills), where authentic full-bottle stock is decanted on-demand into labeled vials so you can sample a fragrance before committing to the full size.
Are Lattafa, Afnan, Armaf, Rasasi, and other Arabian perfumes original at Valley Fragrances?
Yes. Lattafa Perfumes, Afnan, Armaf, Rasasi Perfumes, Al Haramain, Swiss Arabian, Maison Alhambra, Ajmal, Paris Corner, Ard Al Zaafaran, Fragrance World and similar Arabian houses are all sourced from their authorized Indian distributors. Each ships with the same Authenticity Certificate; the certificate ID can be cross-checked against our records.
Why are Valley Fragrances prices lower than retail in some cases?
Because we don't carry the cost overhead of physical retail (rent, salesfloor staff, multi-store inventory). Every rupee of margin we save by being online-first is reinvested into honest pricing. Our prices reflect direct-distributor sourcing, not counterfeiting — counterfeit pricing is typically 70–90% off MRP, whereas our discounts are bounded by what genuine distributor stock allows.
